Christmas Intention and the New Moon
With some of our clear weather recently, I have enjoyed the delight of moonlight upon the crispness of cold, frosty nights. The moon has always held an amazing ability to move me in such wondrous, powerful ways. The deep meaning of reflective moments that she invokes are timeless. Wherever I've been recently, she's been there with me- high above majestic peaks in Whistler to gentle rolling reflections of moonbeams upon ocean waves around Vancouver Island, she is the queen of the skies and reminds me to walk in beauty with her.
The moon is a powerful reminder of the mystery and majesty of our connection to the universe. With Christmas around the corner we have some lovely opportunities to connect with the sense of timelessness that the moon invokes:
Sat., Dec. 9 is the new moon
Fri., Dec. 21 is winter solstice
Sat. Dec. 23 is the full moon
In stillness and timelessness, our sense of connection to the Self and the beauty of our world emerge. May we prepare for our Christmas experience from this place.... and just as the moon's stunning beauty reflects the light all around her, may we bring this same beauty into the way we treat each other and prepare for December 25. Let there be light and festivity, let there be love and truth, let peace on earth prevail.
