Intuitive Flow
Newsletter
Learning how to interpret and navigate our intuition into "flow" is made easier by paying attention to the "little" things. Think of a stream or babbling brook; as the water encounters rocks or boulders, it flows around the obstruction rather than resisting it. Just as resistance changes the flow, resistance to what is happening in us and around us can impede or strengthen us. Without the rocks and boulders the brook wouldn't make that delightful babbling sound. So too, without our resistances; as we learn to flow with them, we allow ourselves to get back into sync with our natural nature - we create less stress by observing and learning rather than resisting. The Course in Miracles says that nothing real can be threatened. If that's true then a great place to work with flow is to begin with the little things...
Basic Intuition - Are you Kind to Yourself?
Intuition in Action - Apply What You Know

Dr. Masru Emoto's book "The Hidden Messages of Water," visually demonstrates the power of little things impacting big things. The beautiful crystalline picture is water that has been exposed to the message “love and gratitude.” The darker, sludge next it has been subjected to the message “you make me sick.” With up to 70% of our bodies made up of water, which do you want in your system? Avoid contiminating your intuitions and self talk - apply kindness and see what happens to the quality and quantity of your intuitive flow... Intuition in Action - ABC Tips for Effortless Flow
Ever sit at your desk absolutely stuck, usually at the most inconvenient times? The brain won't work, you have to make a fast decision and your intuition feels like it's a million miles away. The chatterbox and the critical voice are having a field day. You're going around in circles fast and need to act NOW! Try this...
A - Accept what is
Take a minute tor two to engage the 5 senses to notice and in your mind’s eye what your current challenge looks like, feels like, if it has a sound, a visual or a sense - take this experience, really feel it; acknowledge the ramifications of what you're feeling and now....
B - Breathe and do something different
Create a change of state to engage intuitive insight; breathe deep, get up and go for a short walk, connect with nature if you can, or lean back and listen to a couple minutes of music – let your mind think of nothing and let yourself “go with the flow” of this present moment into the void of non-thinking where intuition, creativity and solutions outside of the linear mind are found.
C - Connect to the heart
Don’t search for an answer, but rather imagine your mind as releasing the walls of worry, concern or resistance in regards to this challenge. Let them melt and allow yourself to simply “be” in this moment. This moment of silent awareness is like an invisible gateway in space and time…it must be entered to “allow” what you’re looking for to come back to you. Imagine your favorite place, activity or greatest memory... really FEEL the good emotions and sensatations. Go even further; you may want to pretend you're doing something you've always wanted to do and imagine how great that experience would be. After a few minutes, come back refreshed and ease gently back into your daily life.
You may or may not have conscious awareness of intuitive flow right away, but consistent practice of this one tool has profound effects.
Eventually, we recognize intuitive response by an immediate feeling of relief – we connect with the unlimited part of ourselves and now bring to our challenge more insight, information and inspiration to handle the situation.
Be sure to record your insights in an Intuition Journal - and don't be fooled by the simplicity of the information. This is the stuff of life... the "little things" that lead us to our peace, that help us course correct. It will be these little things that our conscience will be taking a good hard look at on our death beds.
What if?
Joseph Campbell, an American mythology professor, writer, and orator best known for his work in the fields of comparative mythology and comparative religion had this to say:
Eternity has nothing to do with the hereafter... This is it... If you don't get it here, you won't get it anywhere. The experience of eternity right here and now is the function of life. Heaven is not the place to have the experience; here's the place to have the experience.
